Morgan’s eyes widened and she cried out into the gag Karl had just put into her mouth. Then the basement door opened and Karl came down carrying a girl over his shoulder. The next day Karl was late coming down to give her breakfast. I was a nationally ranked figure skater. When Dasha tried to reply, her voice came out in a harsh, painful whisper. We were both adopted from China, so we’re not actually siblings…
