Just as I started to see sparkling glitter in my head, something in me broke like an explosion of fireworks. It was just a second. We were now on the bed…Ben driving hard…beyond his control…I responded in kind. Fifteen minutes later we were in the car trying to find the freeway while pulling on clothes. I had inadvertently reached into my purse and grabbed one of the wads of money rolled up thinking I could just give him the wad and he might just leave. An emotion of fear, revile, and embarrassment waved over me along with a sense of helplessness…I had absolutely no idea what to do except I did not want this kid to harm either
